Side A: The centerpiece features an image of Saint Benedict holding a cross, symbolizing faith and protection. The initials "A.M." and "D.G." are displayed, standing for "Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam" (For the Greater Glory of God), a Jesuit motto. A black ribbon with the word "BELIEVE" is prominently placed, emphasizing hope and perseverance. A cross made from a halligan bar and a pike pole appear on both sides of the Saint Benedict emblem, adding subtle balance and detail.
Side B: This side features a firefighter’s Maltese cross at the center, a symbol of courage and service. The Maltese cross integrates the Chicago flag’s iconic blue stripes and red stars, representing resilience and unity.
The phrase "IN GOD WE TRUST" is inscribed on a banner across the middle of the cross. The background includes firefighter tools—an axe and a halligan bar—crossing behind the emblem, representing strength and duty.
The outer ring matches the design of Side A, with "RIGHT TO FIGHT AGAINST CANCER" encircling the emblem. "Right To Fight" is used to teach members to turn the adjustable fog nozzle to get a solid stream of water to fight fires
